IDD Summer Farm Camp

The L.E.A.F Program Focuses On:

 

- Basic agricultural foundation skills

- Importance of animal care for farm animals

- Forming friendships through teamwork

- Sustainability and how it affects our environment

- Organic farming/gardening

- Independent living skills and employability skills

- Ecological gardening crops

- Basic math and reading skills (as it pertains to agriculture)

- Recreational and leisure activities

- Hands On learning

Daily Schedule:

 

9:00  Campers arrive and prepare for the day

 

9:15  Employment skills

 

9:45 Educational fun time

 

10:15 Snack

 

10:30 Animal bonding

 

11:00 Agricultural exploration

 

11:45 Farm games 

2022 Dates:

July 25th - August 5th

Week 1: Tuesday-Friday

Week 2: Monday - Thursday

9AM - 12PM

This camp is intended for high functioning ​intellectually and developmentally disabled students, and students on the autism spectrum ages 14 to 21. Campers should be able to work collaboratively with others in an outdoor setting.
